When you meet a person that leaves a strong impression on you, that is unique
in his love and respect for animals of all kinds and types, that is helpful and
patient, a person who is primarily interested in accommodating his clients needs,
you have to talk about it and make it known. Mr. David Pichette of Ashfield Pet
Crematory is such a person.
We lost our Golden Retriever dog Chazz to cancer. He was like our kid to us.
Initially we buried him in our yard. A very elaborate grave and memorial site.
Chazz was there for almost 4 years. Then circumstances changed and we needed to
relocate. That gave us a terrible dilemma because we were not going to leave Chazz
behind. After careful soul searching, and weighing all our options, we decided
to exhume Chazz's box and have him go through a cremation process. That way we
could take his remains with us anywhere we go, and have him with us at home all
the time.
As one can imagine our apprehensions were high, our questions many, and our anxiety
sharp. David answered each and every email we sent him in great detail. He completely
set our minds at ease. Explaining everything that takes place, in the detail that
we needed. When the day came and we took our dog there, David insisted that he
alone will assist us in the procedure. He made our time there as tolerable as
humanly possible. He cared, and it showed. It was not just a business transaction.
It was a merciful caring service to our beloved pet. And this is where the difference
lies.
I recommend David and Ashfield Pet Crematory in the strongest possible terms.
Loosing a pet is painful enough. An understanding person and establishment, that
will make every accommodation to work with you, makes the loss so much more tolerable.
Thank you David!

Dear David,
I have been struggling to find the words to express our deepest thanks and appreciation for the compassion, sincerity and respect with which you treated us, and more importantly, our dearest Caly, these last few
days. The words in the other testimonials seem far better than any others I could
provide. "Grace", "reverence", "professionalism", "integrity", "care", "understanding", "kindness". All of these words aptly characterize you and the wonderful service you provide. Two other words I'd like to add are accommodating and flexible. You went out of your way more than once to make sure all of our needs were met. Our communications were timely, clear and informative. Your facility in Troy is immaculate. You have a very rare gift Mr. Pichette, and I will recommend you to anyone who
has lost a loved animal companion.
With our deepest gratitude,

To Whom It May Concern,
Recently, David assisted me with the cremation of the body of my dog Gretta. From the first contact with him to processing and receiving the ashes, he acted
with simplicity and grace. He made the difficult process of the cremation of
my loved dog more than just manageable, he made it a respectful event that helped
me accept and adjust to the loss. His own love of animals shows. David works
closely with the owner, whatever their needs. His company offers personal, private
cremations. I chose to be present for the cremation, and helped place my dog
Gretta in the Crematorium. I watched the removal of the ashes. I saw her ashes
placed in the container. There was no fanfare, just a quiet reverent process.
Sincerely,
Dr. Ron Milcarek

Dear David,
We want to thank you for your very thoughtful letter and appreciated receiving
it along with the cremation certificate for our beloved cat Farfel.
Words do not do justice to your professionalism and compassion. Our family had
been through a very difficult period when we called for your services. Farfel
had given a valiant fight for life and upon his passing we wanted to honor him
to the end by placing him in the crematorium and being present during the actual
cremation. Of the many phone calls we made to pet crematories in Massachusetts
and the New England area, yours was the only one that would allow this final farewell. In addition, the private time you allowed us before the cremation helped to
add
closure to the heartfelt sadness we were experiencing.
David, we are so grateful to have met you and for the caring and compassion which
you have shown. When the time comes for any of our several other beloved creatures,
we know we will see you again.
May God bless you for your kindness.
Sincerely,

Dear David,
Thank you so very much for your service, comfort, and support during our time
of loss. Travis came to us 3 years ago. We adopted him at age 12 from the Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue.
These past years have been very rich for us because of Travis and he was deeply
loved and is deeply missed. Because of some of our personal beliefs about life
and death we were very fearful that during this vulnerable time we might have
to drop Travis off at the Vet, and not be present with him at the end of his life. We
owed it to this wonderful dog to protect him in his life with us through to his
death. Thank you for allowing us to be near him during this physical/spiritual
transition. Having your service was a way to be able to say good-bye. We thank
you for your integrity and reverence for animal companions. Blessings toward
you for this work that you carry forth in a way that is so respectful of the beings
you attend.

When my best friend Riley of 16 years went to Doggie Heaven I was devastated.
I was comforted by the fact, that between my veterinarian and David, my only
worry was saying the last good-bye. David took care of Riley with respect and
honor. From the moment I gave him a call to the moment he brought Riley's ashes back
to me, his compassion and care made an unforgettable impression on me. I will
always be grateful.
Being in the animal care profession myself, I recognize that David is a person
who innately understands the relationship between people and their companion animals. I would highly recommend the Ashfield Pet Crematory to anyone who has to say
good-bye
to their loving companion.

Recently we found ourselves in need of the services of the Ashfield Pet Crematory.
That dreaded day had come when we had to say goodbye to our 18 year old beloved
friend. Roxie, in her own unique way, trusted no one except my husband and me. Consequently she was with us wherever we went and then came the time to entrust
her to someone else. Although her spirit had left her body, we wanted only the
best care that could be obtained. We found that care, compassion and professionalism
in David Pichette. Contacted late at night, he never hesitated to accommodate
us in a most understanding and gentle way. Within two days Dave respectfully
returned her home to us in a tiny container along with her certificate of cremation.
We have not yet been ready, or may never be, to give up her ashes. For now,
they remain on our bureau under her picture and she, forever in our hearts. Thank
you Dave, for making a difficult time easier by your excellent services.

Those of us who know the heartache of losing a treasured friend are then faced
with the task of their final disposition.
Ashfield Pet Crematory allowed me to participate fully in this process for my
beloved Spidey. I was able to see, and needed to see *first hand* and without
question that it was *my* pet that came home with me that day. This gave me tremendous
piece of mind and helps me through my grief.
Their compassion and kindness was unequaled.
I would like to express my heart felt thanks to David Pichette for helping Spidey
in his final journey.

David,
I am writing to you about the cremation of my dads dog Fritz. Everyone in town
knew how much dad loved that dog. Our family was very impressed with your service
and how you took care of Fritz. I know that my dad would have been grateful as
well.
